                     Upgrade Notes (v1.60a)

Upgrading TurboEDIT from an older version.

Version 1.60a's executables may be copied directly over those of your
    existing version.

To upgrade your configuration file and any existing language files,
please run TurboEDIT Setup AT LEAST ONCE before running TurboEDIT.
TurboEDIT v1.60a WILL NOT RUN unless you do so.

    Alternate Languages

At the moment, only one alternate language file is available: Portu-
guese. The datafile for this language is contained in the LANGUAGE
subdirectory. If you wish to make Portuguese available to your users,
move this file into the main TurboEDIT directory.

If more than one language file is found in the main TurboEDIT direct-
ory, users will be asked to select a language to use when they enter
TurboEDIT for the first time. After the users chooses a language
once, they will not be prompted again.

    Spellchecker Dictionary.

The old dictionary editor WILL work with the new TurboEDIT, but at
the time of this release, we have released a NEW version of the dict-
ionary file (TEDIC102.EXE, available from any site in DISTRIB.TXT).
We suggest that you upgrade to this new dictionary as soon as
possible to take advantage of the Master & User Dictionary Editors,
the Dictionary Sort Utility, a few new words and (slightly) increased
    speed.

    Our Webpage.

Please note that our webpage has moved once again. See DISTRIB.TXT
    for info.

    The Next Release.

This will be the last release of TurboEDIT in 1996. Version 1.70a
will probably be released in mid-February or early March, 1997.

Until then, Happy Holidays to you and yours, and enjoy this new ver-
    sion of TurboEDIT!

      - Steve, 12/01/96
