               The Basics About Alarm Security
               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      I decided to write an article on Burglar Alarms, describing
      exactly how they are wired up and how to bypass the system
      so that you don't get caught.
      They use a variety of items to catch thieves, they include
      PIR's, Door Switches, Sirens, Police Autodiallers, Bells etc.
      PIR's - Passive Infra Red - Designed to comb an area of the
      property from intruders.. they send out beams that comb the area.
      anybody walking across the beams when the alarm is set will
      trigger the alarm off. There is a weakness with these that if
      you walk directly at them 99% of the time they won't trigger
      off the alarms.
      Door Switches - These are put on doors for security purposes
      incase they try and break in through the door. These switches
      are Normally Close (NC) Switches, so if you break in you also
      trigger the alarms because the switch flips telling the control
      panel that some cunt is breaking in.. Some Door Switches are on
      a timer For Entry/Exit (more about this later).
      Sirens - Designed to be as noisy as possible usually 114 Db
      the other aim of the siren is to draw attention to the fact
      that something is wrong, at night you can here a siren from a
      long distance.
      Police Autodialler - This little bastard calls the police about 4
      to 10 secs before the alarm goes off, it sends a pre-recorded
      message to the local police station, there are various ways to
      disable it which will be discussed later on ...
      Bells - the aim is the same as for a siren usually about 118 Db
                  How to bypass Alarm Systems
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      You will need at least 2 - 3 people when doing a job where there
      is an alarm system...

      The best way to enter somewhere is through the main door.
      WHY !!!!!
      Because the main door will be on an Entry/Exit timer to allow
      people to come in through the door put bags etc down get right
      key etc.. so they always set up a timer usually about 10 - 20
      secs....
      This gives you time to :-

      1 - Disable the autodialler by either Cutting the Autodialler
          wire or unscrewing it pulling the telephone wires out and
          disconnecting the mains and battery.

          Whilst someone is turning the autodialler off and the other
          person is Disabling the Control Panel, the other person
          should disable the bell, To do this is easy push the bell up
          and it should dislodge from the base unit,, get abit of tape
          and at the bottom of the base plate is a Micro switch tape this
          shut so that when you take the bell box lid off you trigger
          off any alarms.. then simply disconnect the bell from its holding

      2 - Pulling the siren off the wall.

      3 - Unscrewing the control panel + disconnecting Mains Power +
          Not forgeting to take the Battery out.

         ADDED INFO ABOUT CONTROL PANELS + BELL BOXES.
         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Control Panels are protected from tampering by 2 things
      1 - The panel screw.
      2 - A Micro Switch located at the edge of the control lid , so
          if the alarm was set and you just opened it it would set all
          the alarms off.. so leave it to the end.
      Bell Boxes are protected in exactly the same way as the above..
               Wiring Details for Alarm Systems
               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Switches usually have 4 wires for the alarm + 2 for Anti-tamper

      They are wired up in series that is in 1 big loop.. for one switch
      ust use the 4 wires as normal but if you wish to connect more
      switches you just cut 1 of the alarm wires so that their are 2 ends
      and connect it to the switch doing the same for the Anti-Tamper
      thus producing 1 continuous loop.. The front door switch though has
      its own wire because it goes to the entry exit circuit on the panel
      all the other switches are either on zone2 or zone1..

      PIR's usually have 6 wires:-
      2 for alarm 2 for Anti Tamper and 2 for the power supply
      The wiring up of more than 1 pir is the same as for switches that
      is the alarm is in series as is the Anti-Tamper, BUT the power is
      wired up in Parallel that is there is no break in the wire just
      splice back the covering and attach another wire to it..

      I hope you find this article helpful, please feel free to pass
      this file around to any board or friend (except the police ahah)
      who may want it but please leave the contents intact..
